Back in action

We are back from our honeymoon! After spending 4 amazing days on the water and a bomb ace day on the beach it's back to reality for us here. We ended up going on a cruise and I recommend it to anyone who likes all you can eat food, hundreds of activities and jam-packed pool parties:) I think we made a good decision by choosing a cruise as it was relatively inexpensive and full of stuff to do.

So now that the wedding and the honeymoon are officially over it's time for us to turn our attention towards making new plans and setting new goals for our first year as husband and wife! I'm so excited about beginning this journey; I couldn't ask for a better man to do it with!

I feel as though the Lord has some BIG stuff planned for us- I just feel it.

Lewis is back to work and I return later this week.... too bad we can't just lay around and bum it up for a little while longer lol

I am cooking up some good stuff here on the blog so stay tuned!!!!

Oh, Saturday....

Yesterday afternoon proved to be a little challenging at work..... Was floated from a stable unit to an extremely busy floor where I was pulled from one end to the next for the remainder of my shift! My poor feet   hurt so bad when I got home..... I just shower, ate and tumbled into bed. Woke up and realized I had a number of things to do. Eye exam. Bank. Wash clothes. Wash dishes. Clinical project. Study. At first glance it's not really a long list..... but the trick is that they are all time consuming tasks.

Man, it's Saturday!

So I ended up doing most of it, cause by the time I completed items #1 and #2 it was already 1 p.m lol. I tried to work on my project (some more cause I've already started it) but I kept getting distracted by hunger. Quickly nixed the idea coming to the conclusion that since I am at my greatest study/task completion/motivation potential in the morning, I should probably tackle that tomorrow after church when I would still be fresh (Lewis reminded me that I tend to turn off my "student mind" around 3 or 4 o'clock everyday and I am no good to focus on school stuff beyond that without massive conscious effort) along with studying. I did the rest though. This is pretty random but to my apt dwellers who use the community laundry room: do you guys ever notice that on the weekends it seems like EVERYBODY in the entire complex is washing clothes? No seriously, it's like a madhouse on the weekends....I was thinking earlier as I watched two ladies make a mad dash towards the SAME last available washer "doesn't anybody get a day off during the week anymore?" Eh.

Hope you guys are having a fantabulous Saturday and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Oh, happy Superbowl'n too!

Idle chit chat

Yesterday my job asked me if I could come fill in on the night shift because they were short staffed. Being the helpful person that I am I said "sure" because they needed the help AND I've sort of secretly been wanting to see how the night shift flows because the on the day shift, we do A LOT with/for the patients. I mean I heard that day/night shift are pretty much the same but in my eyes it always seems like the day shift does all the work and the night shift just kinda chills most of the night cause everyone is either sleep or on their way there...... Ugh, I'm babbling. Sorry.

ANYWAYS.

Because I was unaware that I would be working an overnight shift until about 4pm, I didn't take a nap or anything before the phone call and I had to be in at 6:45..... so last night sucked. But around 2:30 the charge nurse let me go home because they didn't have as many patients as they thought they would. I got home and crashed around 3:30 and popped up at effin' 8:15, and could not (for the life of me) go back to sleep! So here I am now, on the couch sleepy-eyed and tired lol.... I'll prolly try and take and nap later.

I plan to be super productive this week, I mean it's not like I have to study or anything that will keep me from doing other stuff (thank ya Jesus) so there won't be an excuse for why I didn't get all my MRM goals achieved this time!

I made a wig over the weekend, a curly one, but I'm still modifying it so after I finish it up there will be a post up about the entire journey of making my first wig.

Seriously looking into updating my wardrobe, correctly this time. I found some tips and must-haves that I hadn't known about...... Be looking out for that post as well!

I have been considering a giveaway here on the blog but I'm not sure how to set that up just yet; so sit tight on the idea.

......Guess I'll go be productive somewhere..... Until next time :)

Schools out...... for at least a little bit.

My one and only final was on this past Monday and I am glad about it! Let the winter break begin!! Uhm, I honestly really don't have much planned lol. Will probably get a few more of the big list items of the wedding knocked out while I have this time. School isn't back in session until Jan 22 so that gives me a little over a month to do some damage in wedding planning!

2 of my bridesmaids have bought their dresses ::yeas!:: and the other one will buy hers before the end of the month which will give me a chance to mark that off the list. I'm still not entirely sure if I will have a fourth bridesmaid......... still up in the air. I also need to get my hands on some really good, decently priced photographers cause we really need to take engagement photos soon- like real soon. I do not know what a good price is for a session in our area so I need to do MORE research on it.

I plan to work as much as my job will allow me to show up over the break..... I am only scheduled certain days on my particular floor but the hospital has a staffing office that you can call to pick up shifts that are available. I don't really have a need to work, but I like having my own money! Lewis doesn't mind one bit that I spend his money (and I love you for that baby) but sometimes I feel restricted in what I buy or how much I spend..... for the simple fact that it's still his money and he can question it, track it or restrict it whenever the mood strikes him. That's why I like having my own cash flow...... Independence, a habit that DIES HARD.

We I have started Christmas shopping for everyone and still only need to buy for a few more on the list and then we will done! Feels good to beat the rush! The only person I need to personally worry about still is Lewis.... What do you get somebody who can buy whatever they want? This is always my dilemma with him.

Are any of you guys internet shoppers? Well if you are really hardcore (like I can be sometimes when I get in one of those grooves) then you should definitely check out a site called Ebates.com. They give you cash back on your internet purchases from the stores that they have listed! Trust me, they have all the stores you can think of... and then some! If you use my link right above and sign up, they throw me a few coins so uh, don't be shy :) I love this website...... I never knew I could get paid to shop! Finally!

Guess I'm chilling for the rest of the evening....... Hope you guys have a great one!
