How did I get this way?

Not only today but everyday, actually.

I don't know what's come over me, I've gotten a real bad case of the lazies and I would rather post up on the couch or on the floor in the living room ALL DAY than do anything of substance. It's kinda sad and a little scary to realize since I have always been the type to want to do something outside of the house all the time........ Maybe I'm about to get sick?

Is the "senioritis syndrome" kicking in since I only have a few more weeks left of school?
Let's hope that's it.

Guys, this is extremely unbecoming of me; I'm usually a busy bee! I don't know how to react to this sudden laziness lol

Hopefully it's just a passing feeling and I will perk back up soon..... I can't afford to not feel like studying when I have a final coming up!

I need some energy boosters in my life.........

Lately.....

I've been trying really hard to keep myself busy/sane. Reading, cleaning, daydreaming and applying for jobs. The reality is.... there is only so much one can do, without going MAD. I need a damn job! Don't get me wrong I have grown very used to not working; going to school and not having to stress about work related issues but I think I'm going stir crazy by sitting in this house ALL day...... Hopefully something turns up soon.

Guess I'll get back on the job hunting grind...... *BIG OVERLY EXAGGERATED SIGH*

Drawing a blank. Almost.....

I've haven't been posting these past couple of days because.... well I haven't had much to talk about..... Any suggestions?

I went to visit my hometown over the past weekend to see my girl graduate from her Surgical Technician program ::Congrats Sham!:: and ended up staying 2 extra days. To be honest, at times I felt out of place... mainly cause I no longer live there..... Like everybody would be winding down doing their own thing and I was kinda left kicking around dirt rocks lol. But overall, I enjoyed seeing everybody again.... it's been almost 6 months.

Wedding Stuff: Still haven't fully gotten started yet.. I know sad... I'm a little scatter-brained when it comes down to it I think. I should just pick one area at a time and focus on it, that will prolly ease my overwhelmed mind. Now I just need to find my starting point.......

Life: Guess what? I think I'm wearing ole Lewis down about another puppy!! This morning he told me that he wanted a girl dog but he was goin to wait til after we move into a bigger place... YEAS!!

I want to make our apt a little bit more home-like so I am slowly going to liven up each room.... starting with the living area. Got a few plans for it that I will share with you guys as they come together.

Still looking for a lil summer job, I may head to some of the temp services and see what they have available.

I think I may have myself a little plan!

Early bird catches..... no sleep?

I've been up since about 5:30 a.m! I made breakfast ::to go::  for my hunny bun this morning cause he had to be to work before 7.....I'm such a kick-ass wife-to-be! After he left I intended to go back to sleep until my alarm went off BUT here it is an hour and a half later and I'm still up :( Good thing I went to sleep early last night or I would be one grumpy person.

I mean to post as soon as I got on the computer, but I got so wrapped up in looking at everyone else's blog that now I gotta make this short and I gotta speed type; gotta start getting ready for school soon. Shoot.

This flex I have my clinical rotation at the beginning of the week and lecture the following days..... today is Thursday ::Already?::  I think that arrangement makes my week go by really fast.... excellent :) It's supposed to be HOT for the rest of the week here, mid to upper 80's time to pull out the capris and bermuda shorts!! I personally am glad the cold weather is over..... I hate being cold!! Remember ladies: shivering is not cute! Lol.

Well, dangit, my alarm just went off..... guess that means I better start getting ready for class! Hope everybody has a fabulous day!! One more day til the weekend :)

Back in school

School is in full swing for me right now! It just started back Monday and already I've learned how to start an I.V and taken 2 practice math tests for calculating I.V medications... and that was just in clinical! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Instructor, and lucky for HER I'm in her lecture class as well :) I do believe I am going to thoroughly enjoy this class and being a Level II student..... I get to do so much!

Right now I'm sitting up at my job, quietly waiting on the moment when I can sprint out of here. We are dead today, like literally the only people in this place are the employees! And Lewis didn't make the situation better by telling me that he just made it home.... Now I really want to jet; missed him. I just gotta beast out the next 43 minutes and then I'm home-free.... it just feels like forever though.

Friday night chillin

*Note to self* Never do a braidout on freshly washed wet hair! My hair is sooo frizzy right now and I can't get it to straighten out :( #supersucks


I'm super chilling tonight watching t.v and surfing the web.... missing my fiance's company. I was having a problem with one of my teeth a while back and since I don't have dental insurance at the moment I figured I would sign up at a local dental school to be a guinea pig and get my teeth checked out. Well it had been so long ago that I signed up that I had actually forgotten about it until I got a phone call from a student yesterday tell me to come in. Long story short, they got me in did the screening, x-rays and all that jazz and THEN told me that I had two bad cavities that needed to be worked on or I was going to need a root canal! Can't lie I was a little upset that I had let my teeth get to that point, but there wasn't much I could do without insurance..... the dentist is expensive hell!

Lucky for me, the dental school provides services for about 50% less than "real-world dentists" as they call them. And I'll get all my work done by a student under microscopic supervision of a licensed dentist so I feel pretty confident that they will get me in shape. Matter of fact, you guys should ask around about a dental school in your area to see if they offer services to the public. Don't be afraid to use students, they love having the experience!! And it's designed for people like me who can't afford dental insurance.

Other than the hours it took for them to do that this morning, I've pretty much done nothing. I realized around 2 o'clock that I had received my little bitty tax refund..... ::my mom still claims me as a dependent so I never get a decent refund regardless of what I made that year.....boooo:: so I took some of the money and put it in the savings acct. Oh!! Did I forget to mention that we FINALLY opened a savings acct last week? Decided to go with a local branch here because they have the highest interest rate available short of opening an online acct which I don't fully trust. And the rest, I guess I'll just spend it on mindless little things like eating out or picking up a shirt or something.... Every girl deserves a treat :)

Bored.

I'm sitting up here at my WS job on a Saturday morning, bored to pieces. We opened at 9- it's only 9:35 and I already wish I was somewhere else. But I guess it's a good thing that I came in cause the poor shift supervisor is running around like she's on the verge of a panic attack. Lol. People showing up late, others calling in and students filing in  left and right for their tutoring sessions.......I feel for her. If it gets too crazy, I'm sure she'll be pulling me away from my lovely front desk position to help out; I won't mind..... this time.

Nothing too eventful happened to me this week, hence the lack of posts. Class, class, studying, clinicals, and work in between. Gearing up for this last exam next Tuesday and finals that follows right behind it first week in March, then it SPRING BREAK!

Don't worry though, I WON'T be doing anything eventful :(
I still don't have many friends out here, and the two girls that I kinda hang out with (when scheduling works out) will probably work all that week so I can almost count them out for hooking up with. Lewis will be back at work before the break kicks in..... So I'll be home, alone, by myself , ONCE.AGAIN. To be honest, I don't really know if am sure that I'm not feeling Lewis going out of town for work all the time. He's home for 6 days so our time is always limited, and just when I adjust he's getting ready to go..... Sucks to say the least. I'm goin to keep a straight face though cause there is not much I can do about it, for now.

On to lighter news: I am so in love with my Kindle fire! I'm always on that bad boy; reading, playing games, downloading more books or playing more games Lol. Amazon has this feature for some of their books for prime members where you can "check them out" like at a library? For FREE!! It's an okay feature, the only thing I don't like is that you can only check out one book a month.... at a regular library you can check like 12 books at a time and return them when you want for more; they need to do a collabo with the public libraries about their current policy! Despite that, they have a ton of good books for $.99 or less so I don't really mind.

I mentioned above that I'll doing finals in about 2 wks.... well that's because in my nursing program our classes only last 8wks. So this class will end and a brand new one will begin after spring break..... And I'll be a level 2 student! Can't wait for that title.......

Bored.

I've become extra bored being here at the house all day now. And when I'm bored.... I tend to spend money.

 This can be bad especially since we are tight with the funds right now. I'll be out of my bored space once school starts back but until then....... I'll be hiding my card from myself.


To curb my boredom, I picked up a puzzle from the Dollar Tree Monday:

And I'm making it my PERSONAL goal to have it finished by the 17th. 


Wanna know whats weird tho? I can not find the rest of the end pieces to seal off the rest of the edge of the puzzle. I think I got jipped.... Only at the Dollar Tree smh.


500 pieces (or maybe less)......... Yep, I'm beyond bored :-/ 


But I'm off to a good start.... and plus my babes is willing to help me out *SHOCKING* 
Today is the 4th so I got 13 days til my d-day, wish me luck with this one......


Love and Hip hop: Did you see Jimmy FINALLY popped the question to Chrissy?? Came all the way to Miami where she was to do it!! Aaww, super sweet :) She's still a mean girl tho :-/ but congrats anyways!!!
