I love my husband wholeheartedly, with every piece of love inside of me and I am more than sure he mirrors that love. When we took our vows 8 months ago we made a promise to each other in front of our family and friends and more importantly God to love each other for better or worse til death do us part. Most days we are like two teenagers in crazy love..... then there are days when I wish he was a video game character where I could destroy him and he would come back with one less life lol
For us it's top priority to keep the Lord ever present in our marriage. Not only for the days when we are having a difficult time with one another but also in the good days as well. I feel as though if you always keep God a center point in your relationship, you are better equipped to deal with the curve balls life can throw your way knowing that it's already worked out.
Lewis and I pray daily and when he's able to be home we pray together. We both feel it necessary to uplift each other in prayer, concerning our daily trials and triumphs as well as seeking Him in the plans we have for our lives together.
We don't strive by any means to have the perfect marriage; we are still rookies and make those rookie mistakes, our goal for now is to continue to love each other genuinely and pray that we evolve into the man and woman God has us to be!
The Lord will always be the center and head of our relationship.....ALWAYS.

And a bunch of chilling..........
I started clipping coupons a few weeks back and I was excited about going to the store to use them; you know get to the register like on extreme couponing and end up only paying like $.45? Yea, that didn't happen to me....... If anything I spent TOO MUCH money on things I didn't need all because I had a coupon for it lol
One of the coupons was for Wet n' Wild cosmetics and as I was searching for something cheap to buy I came across their Megaslicks balm stain.
I'm excited about this because I've wanted to try a crayola stick color for a while <---- that's what I call all the lip colors that are shaped like pre-k crayolas lol This one is called "Rico Mauve" and it looks pretty sheer on my lips.
I already want to try another shade..... to see how it will show up on my lips. I feel like it's time for me to step out of my comfort zone and dabble in color! Watch out na!
Hope you guys had a lovely weekend as well......

Relaxer update!
Recently relaxed my hair..... at 11 weeks. I thought about going 12 weeks, but it wasn't like 7 days was going to make a tremendous difference in my hair lol.... Since the move it takes no less than 20 minutes to get to all of our usual places (when it used to take only like 7-15 going ANYWHERE) so in adjusting to that extra driving I realized that it was going to take me like 45 minutes to get over to Amanda (my stylist)! My first mind caused me to schedule an appt with a stranger..... but after thinking about it, Amanda has been down with my hair journey this long and really understands what I'm aiming for with my hair so why quit her over a longer commute? Glad I came to my senses! Anywho here's my hair:
It's growing back nicely from the cut I got in Dec with my last relaxer. Amanda commented on how shiny and healthy my hair looked and felt. Also in Dec. I had layers cut into my hair; they are growing out and poppin' as well so I'm really feeling myself lol I'm definitely in love with this stage of my hair..... Of course I don't want to stay this length forever but I will enjoy it while it's here :) I didn't get a trim with this relaxer but I plan to get one soon to help get rid of those pesky under processed ends!
If there is one thing that I have learned, it's to love and embrace your hair regardless of what stage it's in! So what I'm APL or BSL yet, this is a journey and I'm enjoying the learning moments of it!

Well Hello March
February is already flying behind us as we dig into March! Time, SLOW DOWN.
February was bouncing and busy in my house which in turn caused more neglect to my blog..... I'm trying to get it together ya'll, promise! We are mostly settled into the house for the moment so I am able to get back onto a normal schedule of tasks and what not......
I want to try out setting monthly goals..... achievable little things that make me more accountable for my
- Apply to at least 3 jobs a week. Time for me to really dig my heels in and snag a big girl job.
- Go to the gym 2x a week. I've become a definite procrastinator when it comes to working out and this body is not going to tone itself, trust me I know.
- Drink 1 liter of water a day. I crave water in warm weather and curse it when it's colder out; hopefully it warms up soon otherwise this is going to be torture lol
- Buy one complete outfit for myself. I'm terrible at buying things for myself these days (especially clothes) so this should be interesting.
- Have 2 hot dates with my husband. With Lewis' always-changing work schedule it's hard to really plan anything special for us to do but I want to make it a point for us to go on a few real dates this month
- Start and complete one project. Let Lewis tell it, I am the Queen of unstarted ideas lol I plan to prove him wrong!
Here's to March!
