Well Hello March

February is already flying behind us as we dig into March! Time, SLOW DOWN.

February was bouncing and busy in my house which in turn caused more neglect to my blog..... I'm trying to get it together ya'll, promise! We are mostly settled into the house for the moment so I am able to get back onto a normal schedule of tasks and what not......

I want to try out setting monthly goals..... achievable little things that make me more accountable for my busy  little life! Here's what I want to do this month:

  • Apply to at least 3 jobs a week. Time for me to really dig my heels in and snag a big girl job.
  • Go to the gym 2x a week. I've become a definite procrastinator when it comes to working out and this body is not going to tone itself, trust me I know.
  • Drink 1 liter of water a day. I crave water in warm weather and curse it when it's colder out; hopefully it warms up soon otherwise this is going to be torture lol
  • Buy one complete outfit for myself. I'm terrible at buying things for myself these days (especially clothes) so this should be interesting.
  • Have 2 hot dates with my husband. With Lewis' always-changing work schedule it's hard to really plan anything special for us to do but I want to make it a point for us to go on a few real dates this month
  • Start and complete one project. Let Lewis tell it, I am the Queen of unstarted ideas lol I plan to prove him wrong!
These are the things I plan to do and accomplish for the month of March! Won't you join me? Set some goals and get the joy out of checking them off one by one :) Link up below if you set some goals for the month of March on your blog and I'll be sure to check you out and root you on!

Here's to March!

School.... so far.

Last week was my first week of maternity health AKA pregnant women 101..... and I feel completely out of my element! I'm not even going to play games with you guys, the night before class ( like most students) I'm trying to figure out where I'm sposed to get my information about breastfeeding for a worksheet that was due and all the rest of the fifty-leven pages that were due right? Well I just began to get so frustrated and overwhelmed with all the information that I just broke down in tears! It's totally brand new information that I can't relate to..... So I feel like I basically have to submerge myself in this class in order to be successful. Great. It doesn't help that my clinical instructor is obsessed with this subject so she's can be overbearing at times with the information and highly defensive (because of encounters with previous students). So essentially I got my work cut out for me this flex.

Lucky for me though, this is the only class I have to deal with so I guess that is something to smile about. Kinda. Lol  This week I was on a mother/baby unit (post delivery) and I got to see all the tiny babies wrapped up like little burritos..... it was so heart swelling! I love the little "coo" noises they make, and when they got all fussy during the assessment I just wanted to wrap them back up and leave them alone. I'm such a little punk hahahaha....... This class may end up being more rewarding than I thought.

Mind Right Monday

Time for another productive week!! I am happy to report that I actually did accomplished a lot on last weeks list like getting my interview done for one project, starting another, relaxing (even if it was only like a 45 min brain-shutdown.... still counts) and I spent some much needed time with Lewis. GO BEE!!  I'm getting better and better at it..... and I love it. Without further adieu: It's time for MRM!

Goals:

  • Study at least an hr for each class (thankfully I only have 1 exam this week!)
  • Finish up projects
  • Hydrate! ::sad that I have to remind myself to do this...::
  • Clean up the house
  • Go on a date with Lewis
  • Have a good day at work (Friday)

Gratefuls:
  • Health and strength
  • Lewis' extra helpfulness as of lately
  • Love and support
  • Water filtering containers ::my Brita water filter thingy is the BIZ-NY-EEE!! Money well spent::
  • Steadfast determination
  • That there is only 2 weeks of these classes left!!

Also I am happy to report that ya girl made B's on all 3 of her exams last week! WHOOP..... My eyes were as big as saucers when I saw my grades lol Hope you guys plan to have a bomb ace week like I do!! "Ain't nothing to it, but to do it."

OOOOHHHHH....... This is my 100th post?!?!?!?!?!!! Well I'll be damned.

Lol

Just a little inspiration.

I've been reading this E-book for a while, "Achieve anything in just one year: be inspired daily to live your dreams," it's an motivational type book. I think at the time I was really looking to be inspired by something other than my own words..... this book is turning out to be quite the tool!

I wanted to give you guys a little excerpt from today's "pep talk":

"Face the worst. Believe the best. Do the most. Leave the rest" - Bishop Mel Wheatley

"Whenever you feel stuck in life, it can be very difficult to find a way out of the darkness. this quote gives you a flashlight to navigate through the shadows. If you stick with these simple directions, you will emerge into the light before you know it....."

Great stuff huh?

I thought this one fits sooo well with what some of my friends and loved ones have been going through lately, almost as if the book knew I would know someone in the situation even if I couldn't use it for myself.

This book is available at amazon.com if you are interested in it!

Oh also I joined the instagram world, so if you want to follow me you can!
You can find me as mrsbeeimme :)

Have a good one!
