We are OFFICIAL FOLKS!! July 20th 2013 I married my best friend, my confidant, my true love.... hands down one of the happiest days of my life :)

Our honeymoon starts later this week..... Ready for some fun in the frickin' sun!

The random things that I've been doing...... *PIC HEAVY*

Basically all summer I've been doing lots of little random things..... today is a good a day as any to share them!

We are currently putting back all of our $1 bills to build up extra money for a rainy day..... at first we were just sticking them in the change jar but after a while it became a bit of a hassle to do that and we didn't want the money to just be out in the open like that. I had to come up with something..... and this is what I ended up with:

 

That's and old pickle jar, acrylic paints and flowers from Michael's... oh and some of our dollars :)

The pool was really calling me one HOT ass afternoon so..... I answered it in my 2-piece and a straw hat! 

Downed about 2 dozen of these in a week's span..... I'm an addict :/ AND PROUD.

Cruising thru Target one day looking for a simple lip gloss and ended up with not only that but a eyebrow/eyelash gel and a lipstick that I was unaware of until AFTER I opened it 

(thought it was a lipgloss) but it barely shows up so it's all good!

My baby cakes surprised me and came home early! I was elated to have him home again :)

Listening to him play a lesson on his NEW guitar.

It was time to twist this wig! LAWDAMERCY....

I use Organic Root Stimulator lock and twist gel and a little bit of DAX bees wax

Took those braids out..... they lasted 6wks! 11wks post.

Did a lunch date with one of my friends....

Lewis was patiently waiting on dinner one night..... and wanted to make the table pretty. Love him:D

We went old school the other day and shot a lil dice.... on a shoe box! Ha.... really playing too....

In a nutshell this has been my summer so far.... not all boring days I guess. What about yours?

Things are starting to look up

After searching and applying to many MANY jobs, I finally landed an interview about 2 weeks ago at a place that I was really hoping for! The crazy thing about the interview was it done panel style..... and I've NEVER been interviewed by a panel before.... Needless to say I was thrown off and scared sh*tless the entire time. Lol. I just knew the interview went horribly wrong when I kept doing these long pauses creating awkward silence and repeating the last word in some of my sentences :: like " one of my strengths I would have to say is.... is...... is......."::  Ugh, I just wanted to be shot in the face after that!!!

When they finished the grilling, I got to take a tour around the place where I would "potentially' be working and then they told me that HR would be in touch to let me know if I had gotten the position. Fast forward to last week: When I hadn't heard ANYthing from them in all this time, I just chalked it up  to bombing the interview and began looking for more jobs and but really giving up hope that I would find the job I wanted. I was sitting in bed on Wed morning watching my HGTV when my phone rang.

"May I speak to Brittany?"

-"Tis she...."

"Hi this is ____ from ____. I was calling to let you know that after doing all the interviews for the position, we have decided to make you an offer for it."

- "REALLY??!?!?!?!?"

"Yes ma'am........"

BOOM! I got the job! Even after I just KNEW they were going to throw my resume away based on my panel interview...... I was over the moon about this news! I have nobody to thank but GOD for blessing me with this opportunity..... and I made sure I gave him his honor and praise for it! 

Now if I can just get them to call me back for a start date....... Hopefully they give me another call soon, Lewis and I are scheduled to be out of town Thursday and out of state for the weekend; don't want that to affect my starting date! Whoop! Ready to get started!

When I get more details, I'll be sure and share them with you guys :)

Milestone!!

I've gotten over 1000 pageviews!!! Yay!!! Thank you guys soooo much for tuning in and dropping by my blog to see what I have going on!!! My blog is only 6 months old so I think for me to have reach 1000 views at this pace is really awesome :)  I would like to up my subscribers, good things come to those that wait though. Does anybody have any tips for me and my blog to gain more traffic? If you do, that would be great!

BUT I still got the weekend to finish preparing for school to start back; AND tomorrow is St. Patti's day sooooo I know something is going on in this city!

Ready for the weekend!

Despite having a horrible day the other day, it's Friday and I am here at my friends house geting ready to celebrate her bday!! It's going to be a 2 day event and I plan to have a lot of fun. Although I had to drive 4 long hrs to get here and it felt like I was never going to get off the road.... I'm excited to be around all my friends once again and not be lonely for a weekend :)

We are supposed to go out to eat tonight and then hit a club called Beamers in Dallas. I haven't been to a club in sooo long, I don't know how to dress for one now! Matter of fact, what's trending at the moment? I LIVE in scrubs so I have no idea ::sad for my social life:: I brought some goin out clothes but I wasn't sure so hopefully my friend will guide me in the right direction on that one.

Good news!! My clinical teacher told us yesterday that they were supposed to have a meeting about the exam because so many students did poorly on it (ME, HELLO!) Well it turns out that they ended up omitting 6 questions on the exam for a possible 12pts added to your grade..... I got all 12! I mean, it sux that I got all those questions wrong but its YAY that my grade went up 12 points! I was over it that day but now I feel A LOT more confident about being able to pass this class; super thankful.

Welp, we got some running around to do before time to get ready so.... CIAO! Oh and if you haven't seen this video...... "Your welcome" for the laugh cause I promise your about to thank me :)

Celebrating early

So I told you that Lewis came home last week right? Well he has to go right back out of town Tuesday......

On friggin' VALENTINE'S DAY!!
::mad face::


Technically he'll be home all that day, but I have an exam and then I have work AND I'm trying to get to that interview at the hospital that day....needless to say I'll be really busy and prolly won't get home until after 5pm or so...... Lewis is working the night shift this go round and he has to report to work by 7pm.....So that leaves no time for celebrating the day or even really seeing each other :(

I suggested that we just have our Valentine's day early, so Saturday we celebrated the day for Lovers! I wasn't all the way sure about what I should get him since he is one of those people who can buy WHATEVER the want when they want it... so I decided to cater to his complaints ::which are always his back and his feet hurt:: and got him a gift certificate for a men's spa package. He gets some foot treatment, a full body brush scrub and a 30 minute full body massage ::bonus cause when I do it, it only lasts about 7 minutes.... tops lol::  He seemed really excited about it so I guess I did a good job!

Guess what my baby got me????? No really, guess! Okay, since you won't I'll tell ya......

A KINDLE FIRE!!!!!!!! Yeps, I came home from school Thursday and it was sitting on the bed....I almost fell out! Lol. This thing is the bomb.com okay? Not only can you read books, but it basically does everything an ipad or a tablet would do ::except take pics, but that's more than fine with me::. That means I can surf the web, watch movies or tv shows, play games and if nothing else.... read books! I had said something about wanting one earlier in the week since I hadn't found a library here in S.A yet and I highly doubted if they had the type of books I wanted to read. I knew with a Kindle, I could download any book I wanted.... I just didn't know I would have it so soon! Awh, my Honeybun does listen :) I flippin love that thing, and Lewis loves that I love it. Thanks baby!

On Saturday we ended up having a nice breakfast and after I studied for a little while, we found this family fun park place called Green Acres Golf and Games. They had all kinds of stuff to do out there: an arcade, 2 miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cage, and go-karts. The wind chill made it crispy cold outside despite it being a very pretty day so we just played a round a golf ::which I almost sucked at::  and raced on the go-kart track....I was beating his butt until this little girl came outta nowhere and made a 3 kart pile up in which I was a part of! It was too much fun! We decided to go see Safe House after that and then headed to the house with some take out food ....... An excellent day if you ask me! I wish I could've trusted somebody with my camera at that place so we could get some pics though, I really wanted to show how much fun we had... Next time tho!

I love being a big kidd and I'm glad that Lewis wanted to be one with me yesterday.... it made for such a cute day out with My Love! Hopefully we can do more stuff like that whenever he's home...

I saw this on youtube last night and couldn't help myself, I thought it was soooo good I would share it!

I know everybody has "been there, done that" with these videos ::some have beat it to death:: but this one was particulary funny to me because most of this is what MY mom used to say to me and my brothers growing up. Come on, you KNOW you can relate.... everybody's parents said stuff like this! Lol.
