New Year Money Challenge

I was cruising through my Facebook news feed when I noticed something one of my friends posted. It was a  photo of dollar amount to deposit every week for 52 into your bank acct. The amount increased by the number of weeks, for instance at 24 wks you would deposit $24...... and by the end of the year you would have saved over $1000! I am definitely going for this one because one of my goals for the year is to save over $500 outside of the money that I already set aside. Now what I plan to do with this money is a total secret, even to me lol. Here is the photo:


I think this is a easy, fun way to save up some cash...... without even realizing it! What do you think? Does this entice you?

    I never keep cash on me so I have to figure out how to do this one but it would pay for the photos I want to take.

      I don't really keep cash on me either but I've gotten a little better since I overspend when I swipe my card lol.

    Hi Bee, i love this! Thank you for sharing. Am up for a fun challenge :) i just downloaded this picture to my desktop am going to do this. I live in Kenya so i'll convert my currency to USD and save it that way. I also don't know what am going to do with this side cash.

    Girl, my mother and I have tried this for the past two years and have failed before march came around. I am doing better at paying myself ten percent of my pay checks.... I planned to do the challenge this year as well which reminds me that I am behind for weeks 3 and 4 which is seven dollars. Smh. Good luck!

      Aw man, like Aaliyah said "if at first you don't succeed, dust yaself off and try again!" Lol Don't worry it has taken me a while to get the hang of saving money too! I like this one because the way you put back odd amounts, I never really notice that I am taking away from myself! Good luck to you too :)
